Sogreah is stepping up its efforts in research and innovation and has just registered two patents: one in the urban waste management field, and the other in the wave energy recovery field. More detailed information about these two patents will be released in the coming weeks.
The two patents diversify Sogreah's patent portfolio, which up to now was mostly centred around breakwater protection. It notably includes current valid patents for the Accropode® II, Ecopode® (marketed by the CLI subsidiary) and Posibloc®.
With more than 200 joint proposals and the first significant accomplishments, the merger between Sogreah and Coteba is becoming a reality in the field. Within the context of an internal programme named "Synergies", theme-based workshops have been organised 2 or 3 times per month since September 2009. Between 10 and 20 experts from both companies come together to assess available skills in a given sector or activity, discuss their working practices and find new ways of working together. The feedback is already very positive, before the imminent closure of the legal merger procedure.
