Urban pollution and the capacities of natural environments to absorb it (or not) are much better understood now than they were just a few decades ago. Urban authorities must comply with the increasingly strict environmental regulations that now govern wastewater treatment. Sogreah has a wealth of experience in modern (compact, nuisance-free, low-energy) treatment facilities and the design of solutions for reusing sludge (methanisation, composting, storage, etc.), and we help clients to upgrade their infrastructure in accordance with increasingly stringent standards (e.g. the European Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive).
